Book Trailer Maine-ia!

New service to Maine Authors Publishing

We are happy to announce a partnership with Maine Authors Publishing to provide book trailer services to its member authors. Book trailers are all the rage in publishing, it seems, not only for independent authors but for large publishing houses, as well. The definition varies a great deal, from simple interviews to full-scale Hollywood-style productions. The evolving medium even has its own award show (The Moby) and was featured on National Public Radio, so it must be real. While the awards are a bit tongue-in-cheek (I think), it is true that in the age of electronic communication, even the written word can get a marketing boost from a viral video. At least Random House thinks so, so I’ll follow their lead.

Maine Authors Publishing helps independent authors with the physical publishing of their work, along with myriad marketing services including web pages, graphic design and promotional materials. And now book trailers.

Authors can package their work in three general approaches: The
Introduction; The Author Profile (examples of each at right); and The Dramatic Treatment, like Betsy Connor Bowen and I did for Spring Bear. We are delighted to partner with Maine Authors Publishing
on this exciting endeavor. If you have a manuscript just aching for a professional treatment, they can help.
